Prototyping Basics
Learn about prototyping while adding a powerful toolkit for solving problems, addressing complex challenges, and creating new opportunities to your resume. In this self-directed course, you will discover how to bring great ideas to life through the power of rapid, effective prototyping, regardless of what ideas or solutions you might be working on and where you are in your innovation journey. You will gain the key skills and tools you need to test simple versions of ideas and solutions, reduce risk, use resources wisely, and increase your chances of success.
Prototyping is core to the design thinking process and Babson College’s methodology of Entrepreneurial Thought & Action® (ET&A™). In the ET&A model, entrepreneurial leaders take actions to achieve the impact they envision by using the resources available to them. They learn from these actions, and then iterate—asking questions, responding to feedback and analysis, and then recalibrating when they need it pivot.
